It’s time for my second in Get the Look blog post! The series in which I make use of the time I spend scrolling through fashion websites and match up my favourite pieces to sewing patterns. The most requested shop last week was & Other Stories which I was pretty thrilled to do as it is one of my faves. You can find my previous post all about Sézane here.
The neckline of the Camille jumpsuit is a perfect match and you could easily taper and crop the trousers a bit. It would look amazing in linen like the & Other Stories one is made in.
The neckline on the Ana blouse isn’t exactly the same but personally I think it is prettier than the & Other Stories one. It’s the perfect top for using that liberty lawn on that you’ve been saving for a special project!
This doesn’t have the zip front but you could add it if you want. Personally I wouldn’t add it as I like the Lin jumpsuit as it is. Made up in denim with a rolled up hem I think this would give perfect effortlessly cool vibes.
The skirt of this dress is quite classic but the bodice makes it special. You could recreate it using the Ailakki jumpsuit and the skirt from your fave dress pattern.
I’m a big fan of a paperbag waist. They are surprisingly flattering! The photo of the Jasmine trousers from Fibremood are a perfect match
It was hard to find a perfect match for this but the M7900 comes pretty close! It has buttons instead of a belt but you could easily change this is you desired. I think it looks nice both ways.
Alternatively, you could use the 8040 Emmie top but this would require a little more hacking to make the neckline the same.
The Sierra jumpsuit has a lovely bodice and looks fab as a jumpsuit but if you want a more summery look you could hack this to have a wrap skirt instead.
This pattern would be really easy to extend the ruffled for this 80’s barbie look. I love the drama of it made in white.
I really enjoyed researching the patterns for this week. I’m now full to bursting with ideas of what to make next! Next week I’ll be matching patterns to pieces from Boden, as voted by you. If you’d like to get involved with the voting you can on my instagram @thestitchedit
